Alicia is the owner/operator of Sensa Salon. Alicia comes from a family of stylists and grew up in the industry. Alicia started her career in Atlanta and later moved to Arizona. She and her husband decided to relocate to Seattle, and now call Seattle home for good. Alicia excels at color, color correction and balayage, but she loves doing anything that involves hair, no matter how short, long, wavy, or curly. Most importantly, she believes that a new client may not always remember your name, but they’ll always remember how a stylist made them feel. Her vision and dedication to Sensa and her clients is unparalleled. There’s no hair style, idea, or concept that is too big or too difficult. As a Deva Advanced stylist she specializes in curly hair. Regardless of what you’re looking for, Alicia has you covered.
Ryan is originally from New York. After 4 years in the salon industry in New York, she decided to pack up and relocate to Seattle. Ryan brings a forward-thinking creative edge that is best described as progressive. Ryan loves doing all aspects of hair, but is always up for the challenge of a creative color project, an edgy haircut, and loves doing make-up as well. Ryan possesses the vision and skillset to achieve the desired styles of all of her clients. She works in a masterful, time-efficient manner, so no matter what hair service you need, Ryan can provide it.
Minnie relocated to Seattle in 2016 from Anchorage, Alaska. Seattle was a city where Minnie knew she could further her career in the hair and makeup industry. Minnie chose to be a hair stylist because it would allow her to evolve and be constantly creative. Her goal with every client is to help them look beautiful and instill confidence. Minnie’s talents range from haircutting, coloring, and styling, to makeup artist and wedding specialist. Her welcoming demeanor and attention to detail is only part of what makes her a great hair stylist.
Kelly moved to Seattle from Arizona, but she was born and raised in New Jersey. She has always had a passion for hair. After going to college to be an elementary teacher, Kelly decided to attend cosmetology school. Once she became a licensed stylist, she went through an 18-month apprenticeship allowing her to study under master stylists. In addition, she attended various hands-on cut, color, and styling classes, including Classic Cutting at the Sebastion/Wella academy in Manhattan. Kelly is certified in hair extensions, as well as smoothing treatments. Her true passion lies in the art of hairstyling and staying current with the latest trends. Always looking to improve her craft, Kelly loves to explore and play with new colors, cuts, and tools.
James Duckett is a highly talented stylist and who thrives on creating personalized hair concepts for his clients. With over 21 years in the hair industry, James worked as the Regional Color Director for Elizabeth Arden in Washington DC and Chicago before moving to New York City where he worked for John Barrett in the Bergdorf Goodman store. Later he worked for Roy Teeluk at his salon in Manhattan. He eventually became creative director for six of the Jeffrey Stein Salons throughout Manhattan. James moved to Seattle three years ago to be closer to his family and eventually joined Sensa. James is a creative and dynamic stylist and educator who is generous to his clients and fellow stylists.
Dana came to Seattle from Paul Mitchell in Connecticut. She specializes in lived-in color, blondes, balayage and textured haircuts. Dana enjoys working one-on-one with each guest to determine the style and color is not only preferred but will work best with their day-to-day lifestyle. Through this process she works to educate her guests on her styling techniques so each guest can recreate the style at home. Combining all of this helps to customize a look that will showcase a client at their most beautiful and self-confident.
Sarah has been in the hair industry since 2010. Originally from Boston, she received her education at the New England Hair Academy. She lives for dimensional color, rooty blondes, and creating low maintenance styles. She learned the art of razor cutting through Bumble and Bumble University in New York City. She loves incorporating various scissor/razor cutting techniques together to create that natural, beautiful end result; tailored to each individual guest. Continuing education keeps her fresh, excited, and up to date on the latest trends and techniques. Whether you’re looking for just a trim to keep those split ends at bay or feeling daring with a bold color, Sarah loves it all and looks forward to working with you to achieve your perfect hair style.
Alex is a Southern California native. Over the last five years, she has worked for salons in Los Angeles and Orange County. Seeking a change, she relocated to Seattle. As a color educator for COLOR.ME by Kevin Murphy, Alex has a very technical and creative eye for color, specializing in highlighting, balayage, corrective color, and vivid color. With advanced education under Paul Mitchell, Arrojo, DevaCurl, Brazilian Blowout, and Kevin Murphy, she has learned advanced and modern cutting and coloring techniques with many different hair textures. Alex enjoys working with each client to achieve their individual look.
Tupper was born and raised in Anchorage, AK. He relocated to Bellingham and then Seattle. After learning many of his color and Balayage techniques at Seven Salon he moved to Rudy’s and spent years honing his barbering skills. After 10 years in the industry Tupper decided to make the move to Sensa. Tupper is passionate about color and painting techniques, but he is also known for an amazing blowout. When he’s not behind the hair Tupper can be found skiing or escaping to the mountains.
Bianca came to Sensa from Virginia. She grew up in the hair industry and decided it was a career she wanted to pursue for herself. After working for salons in Virginia she decided to relocate to Seattle and continue her career in our fast-paced city. Bianca enjoys doing both cutting and coloring but she is also amazing when it comes to blowouts and styling. She’s known for creating the soft “lived in” hair look but she’ll work closely with all clients to achieve any desired look.
Heidi was born and raised in Seattle and has been doing hair for 16 years. She loves the opportunity to do a total transformation. Whether it’s color, foils, Balayage, a new style or no change at all, she’s got you covered. Heidi is married with two boys and when she’s not doing hair, she’s in the kitchen cooking up something amazing, in her garden or on a hike somewhere in the Pacific Northwest.
Jayde moved to Seattle from Arkansas where she started doing hair in 2013. She specializes in customized and dimensional color, which she tailors to each client. She also does amazing Habit hand-tied extensions and blonding services. Jayde loves the creative part of cutting and coloring hair and enjoys the diversity of hair styles here in the PNW! When she is not behind the chair you can find her out exploring the West Coast.
Ainsley came to Seattle after attending Paul Mitchell Academy in San Diego in 2014. She loves to do total transformations for clients that are looking for something completely different. Ainsley is a wiz at foils and balayage, custom blonding, color correction and precision cutting. While she doesn’t have children, she does consider herself a “Plant Mom” and a mother to her pets which keep her busy when she’s not behind the chair or discovering new places in Washington.
Courtney grew up in Wisconsin on a dairy farm. When she decided to pursue hair as a career she attended and graduated from Paul Mitchell in Chicago. Paul Mitchell is where she learned precision cutting from several top educators. Later she relocated to Dallas with her husband where she completed an apprenticeship in cutting, smoothing treatments, and updo’s. She made the move to Seattle in 2020 and joined the Sensa team. When she is not behind the chair she is experimenting with new foods, hiking the PNW, and just lounging with her two dogs.
