Alicia is the owner/operator of Sensa Salon. Alicia comes from a family of stylists and grew up in the industry. Alicia started her career in Atlanta and later moved to Arizona. She and her husband decided to relocate to Seattle, and now call Seattle home for good. Alicia excels at color, color correction and balayage, but she loves doing anything that involves hair, no matter how short, long, wavy, or curly. Most importantly, she believes that a new client may not always remember your name, but they’ll always remember how a stylist made them feel. Her vision and dedication to Sensa and her clients is unparalleled. There’s no hair style, idea, or concept that is too big or too difficult. As a Deva Advanced stylist she specializes in curly hair. Natasha is a Seattle local who decided hair was her future when she enrolled in cosmetology school while still a senior in high school. Fast-forward almost 10 years later, and she’s still doing hair and only getting better! She loves being able to interact with her clients, find new ways to enhance their style, and meet their needs, whether extreme or subtle. Natasha does it all, from men’s and women’s cuts, to color and blowouts. Regardles of your requests, Natasha works to meet and exceed your expectations each and every time!
Ryan is originally from New York. After 4 years in the salon industry in New York, she decided to pack up and relocate to Seattle. Ryan brings a forward-thinking creative edge that is best described as progressive. Ryan loves doing all aspects of hair, but is always up for the challenge of a creative color project, an edgy haircut, and loves doing make-up as well. Ryan possesses the vision and skillset to achieve the desired styles of all of her clients. She works in a masterful, time-efficient manner, so no matter what hair service you need, Ryan can provide it.
After living here for almost 20 years Ellen is part of the fabric that makes up Seattle, she is a Seattlleite through and thorough. She’s been doing hair for over a decade and is a GOLD.KEY educator for the KEVIN.MURPHY product line. Ellen has all her basis covered when it comes to color, whether you want beautiful blonde balayage or soft caramel highlights or a bright, vivid and edgy color Ellen has you covered. She loves doing short women’s, cuts, glamourous styles and updo’s but her main focus is to make her clients feel relaxed and comfortable while bringing out their natural beauty.
Karalee has been passionate about hair and fashion her whole life and has spent nearly 20 years in the beauty industry. She’s inspired by the ever-changing trends and enjoys creating new designs for her clients. She works continually to grow as a stylist by regularly attending advance training classes and workshops. Making people look great and feel phenomenal is what drives her. Whether it’s a simple or unique haircut or a fabulous hair color makeover, Karalee is up for the challenge. She loves the blonde on blonde look and also enjoys creating platinum blondes. Whether you need a cut, color, style, or a bridal updo, Karalee is ready to help.
Alexis started her career as a stylist in the Pacific Northwest after attending the Paul Mitchell Academy. From there her experience ranges from high end salons in the Seattle area to such cities as Austin, Texas where she drew much of her inspiration from the music scene. A specialist in cutting and design, her focus encompasses creating a personalized look that flatters the individual needs of each client from precision cuts to effortless lived in looks as well as upstyles for that special occasion. Alexis is excited to be back in the Pacific Northwest working with talented artists and continuing to embrace everything the Emerald City has to offer.
Tamara is a California native but began her career as a hair stylist in Phoenix. She later moved to Seattle and now calls our amazing city her home. She enjoys meeting all types of new people and creating styles that match their personal look. Tamara promotes healthy hair as she believes that’s what makes hair beautiful hair. She always recommends the best way to maintain a client’s hair and how to reach long term hair goals. Tamara is observant and detail oriented, whether it’s remembering the names of clients (and their pets) or noticing how they wore their hair the first time she saw them. Tamara is happy to work with clients who want something new and exciting or simply want to keep their same style. It’s important to her to know that the client can relax and feel confident that their cut and color will be consistent with every visit and she’ll work to make their salon experience a great one!
Victoria is an amazing stylist with over 10 years of experience, including 5 years as a salon owner and a color line educator. Victoria fell in love with Seattle while visiting friends, so much so she closed her salon in New York and relocated to the Emerald City. Victoria is a Deva certified stylist and she specializes in balayage and classic looks. She is always focused on achieving the look a client wants while maintaining the overall health and integrity of her client’s hair. In true Sensa style she loves to help clients bring out their natural beauty. Victoria is eager to learn, always working on educating herself with the newest styles and trends and takes the time to listen to what her client wants.
Minnie relocated to Seattle in 2016 from Anchorage, Alaska. Seattle was a city where Minnie knew she could further her career in the hair and makeup industry. Minnie chose to be a hair stylist because it would allow her to evolve and be constantly creative. Her goal with every client is to help them look beautiful and instill confidence. Minnie’s talents range from haircutting, coloring, and styling, to makeup artist and wedding specialist. Her welcoming demeanor and attention to detail is only part of what makes her a great hair stylist.
Kelly moved to Seattle from Arizona, but she was born and raised in New Jersey. She has always had a passion for hair. After going to college to be an elementary teacher, Kelly decided to attend cosmetology school. Once she became a licensed stylist, she went through an 18-month apprenticeship allowing her to study under master stylists. In addition, she attended various hands-on cut, color, and styling classes, including Classic Cutting at the Sebastion/Wella academy in Manhattan. Kelly is certified in hair extensions, as well as smoothing treatments. Her true passion lies in the art of hairstyling and staying current with the latest trends. Always looking to improve her craft, Kelly loves to explore and play with new colors, cuts, and tools.
In Evie’s 16 years of her career, she has been a hairstylist and a salon owner. Over the past 16 years, she has continued to sharpen her skills by attending advanced training. Her continuing education allows her to uniquely customize each look. Evie feels that listening and asking questions is always a priority when working with the client. Understanding what look each client is going for is what helps her to achieve the client’s desired goal.
James Duckett is a highly talented stylist and who thrives on creating personalized hair concepts for his clients. With over 21 years in the hair industry, James worked as the Regional Color Director for Elizabeth Arden in Washington DC and Chicago before moving to New York City where he worked for John Barrett in the Bergdorf Goodman store. Later he worked for Roy Teeluk at his salon in Manhattan. He eventually became creative director for six of the Jeffrey Stein Salons throughout Manhattan. James moved to Seattle three years ago to be closer to his family and eventually joined Sensa. James is a creative and dynamic stylist and educator who is generous to his clients and fellow stylists.
