Alicia is the owner/operator of Sensa Salon. Alicia comes from a family of stylists and grew up in the industry. Alicia started her career in Atlanta and later moved to Arizona. She and her husband decided to relocate to Seattle, and now call Seattle home for good. Alicia excels at color, color correction and balayage, but she loves doing anything that involves hair, no matter how short, long, wavy, or curly. Most importantly, she believes that a new client may not always remember your name, but they’ll always remember how a stylist made them feel. Her vision and dedication to Sensa and her clients is unparalleled. There’s no hair style, idea, or concept that is too big or too difficult. As a Deva Advanced stylist she specializes in curly hair. Natasha is a Seattle local who decided hair was her future when she enrolled in cosmetology school while still a senior in high school. Fast-forward almost 10 years later, and she’s still doing hair and only getting better! She loves being able to interact with her clients, find new ways to enhance their style, and meet their needs, whether extreme or subtle. Natasha does it all, from men’s and women’s cuts, to color and blowouts. Regardles of your requests, Natasha works to meet and exceed your expectations each and every time!
Ryan is originally from New York. After 4 years in the salon industry in New York, she decided to pack up and relocate to Seattle. Ryan brings a forward-thinking creative edge that is best described as progressive. Ryan loves doing all aspects of hair, but is always up for the challenge of a creative color project, an edgy haircut, and loves doing make-up as well. Ryan possesses the vision and skillset to achieve the desired styles of all of her clients. She works in a masterful, time-efficient manner, so no matter what hair service you need, Ryan can provide it.
Melvin is known for his balayage technique which achieves color that is both bold and natural-looking. He pulls his inspiration from his background at the Los Angeles Fashion Institute of Design. Melvin’s passion for hair has given him the versatility to create any style from a classic men’s haircut and women’s modern short haircuts to long, layered cuts that grow out beautifully, maintaining lasting shape.
Charley has been doing hair since 2011 after graduating from Gene Juarez Academy. He began by specializing in cutting, fades and crafting amazing men’s and women’s haircuts. Eventually he moved to another salon which would allow him to focus on color, corrective color and balayage. After working in the industry for years in Seattle and doing hair for Seattle Fashion week events Charley decided to join Sensa. Charley can create a look that is simple, clean and professional or wild enough to stand out on a fashion runway. When not cutting hair Charley is a classically trained musician and has have travelled all around the world. Next he hopes to excel to a level where he can travel the world doing hair!
After living here for almost 20 years Ellen is part of the fabric that makes up Seattle, she is a Seattlleite through and thorough. She’s been doing hair for over a decade and is a GOLD.KEY educator for the KEVIN.MURPHY product line. Ellen has all her basis covered when it comes to color, whether you want beautiful blonde balayage or soft caramel highlights or a bright, vivid and edgy color Ellen has you covered. She loves doing short women’s, cuts, glamourous styles and updo’s but her main focus is to make her clients feel relaxed and comfortable while bringing out their natural beauty.
Karalee has been passionate about hair and fashion her whole life and has spent nearly 20 years in the beauty industry. She’s inspired by the ever-changing trends and enjoys creating new designs for her clients. She works continually to grow as a stylist by regularly attending advance training classes and workshops. Making people look great and feel phenomenal is what drives her. Whether it’s a simple or unique haircut or a fabulous hair color makeover, Karalee is up for the challenge. She loves the blonde on blonde look and also enjoys creating platinum blondes. Whether you need a cut, color, style, or a bridal updo, Karalee is ready to help.
Christopher is originally from San Diego but has lived in Seattle for 15 years. He discovered his passion for hair while working with personal stylist and makeup artist for theatre. Christopher obtained his Cosmetology License in 2005 and specializes in color and balayage. He draws inspiration from everything from Bob Ross to movies like Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Blade Runner. Ultimately Christopher creates hair color that is natural and effortless yet beautiful and vibrant.
Kelsey graduated in 2012 from Pivot Point Academy in Illinois. After 4 years in the industry, she and her husband decided to leave Chicago to make Seattle their home. Kelsey is a creative and ambitious stylist who has always had a passion for art. Her inspiration comes from nature and the always changing trends in the industry. She has trained under Melinda Thomas, a Surface educator, and is constantly attending advanced training classes to keep herself inspired. Kelsey loves everything involving hair. She loves enhancing her client’s natural features, while giving them effortless hair that grows out beautifully. Kelsey specializes in short women’s cuts, men’s cutting, balayage, and long shaggy layers, but she’s never one to shy away from an edgy color or a creative challenge. Most importantly, Kelsey loves that her craft has the ability to inspire confidence in her clients and make them feel beautiful!
Alexis started her career as a stylist in the Pacific Northwest after attending the Paul Mitchell Academy. From there her experience ranges from high end salons in the Seattle area to such cities as Austin, Texas where she drew much of her inspiration from the music scene. A specialist in cutting and design, her focus encompasses creating a personalized look that flatters the individual needs of each client from precision cuts to effortless lived in looks as well as upstyles for that special occasion. Alexis is excited to be back in the Pacific Northwest working with talented artists and continuing to embrace everything the Emerald City has to offer.
Anthea is a Seattle native and is the youngest of six children, five of them being girls. Anthea’s positive, up-beat attitude and her love for skin as well all things beauty began at a very young age. She attributes much of it as her way to stand out as the youngest. Anthea began eyebrow shaping as a hobby in high school. Once she saw she had a knack for it she decided she would focus her career as an esthetician. Anthea is a graduate of The Euro Institute of Skin Care here in Seattle, a school that is recognized as one of the top West Coast schools for holistic skin care training. Anthea was hired immediately after graduating and has been working in the skin care industry ever since. Anthea is widely known for her quick and almost painless sugaring services, specifically for bikini and Brazilian areas. From facials to eyebrow waxing to Brazilian sugaring Anthea can do it all!
Alecz is a graduate of the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute. Her passion for esthetics combined with her extensive background in customer service makes each visit a personalized experience. Her goal is to create a safe and tranquil space for people of all clients. Her favorite part of being an esthetician is destroying stereotypes and “ideal body” images and providing people with services that help them feel comfortable in their own skin. She listens to her clients’ needs and does what she can to make them feel confident and beautiful. When Alecz is away from Sensa you can find her in the crowd at her favorite music venues or snuggled up on the couch reading with her cat.
